Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service held its annual awards ceremony at Pride Park Stadium in Derby on Thursday 15 October, honouring 34 individuals who have completed 20, 30 and 40 years’ good conduct and long service.
“This year, perhaps more than ever, as the Service responded to the biggest incident in its history at Tintwistle Moor, we have seen the difference that dedicated people can make. For the first time, representatives from the Fire Operations Group joined the celebrations following a significant and busy year for the Service, which included responding to the major wildfire at Tintwistle Moor alongside partner organisations from across the region.
