Dunes and gorse fire, Formby
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service reported a significant gorse fire in sand dunes near Albert Road, Formby. The fire grew from approximately 300 by 300 metres to 500 by 200 metres, with multiple seats of fire in thick gorse bush and dunes. The main body of fire was extinguished, while crews checked for hot spots.

Field fire spreads to residential property and caravan
Essex County Fire and Rescue Service is providing support at a fire threatening a single storey property, caravan and adjoining garages (incident ref: 028869)

This incident involved a small campfire, attending crews gave appropriate advice.
Both crews from Tadcaster responded to an area of smouldering grassland measuring approximately 50m x 30m. Crews used four hose reel jets and wildfire tools to extinguish and dampen down.

Crews from York, Huntington and Northallerton responded to a report of a field fire. On arrival crews found a fire measuring 400m x 400m crews used 4 hose reel jets and assistance from farmers to create fire breaks to extinguish the fire.

A hose reel was used to extinguish a fire in Chester that consisted of logs and debris. Police were informed, as this is believed to have been lit deliberately.

Property fire
Three fire engines were initially sent to a report of a domestic property on fire with possible persons still inside the property. On arrival crews confirmed the property was well alight and requested another 3 fire engines and water bowser to assist.
