Crews from York, Tadcaster and Acomb responded to a report of a grass verge on fire. This was located and found to be a small grass fire caused by a lorry having a tyre blow out. Crews used 1 hose reel jet to dampen down the area.

Huntington responded to a fire in the open. Police were already in attendance and had extinguished the small fire prior to crews arrival which was believed to had been deliberate. Crews conducted an inspection only.

Both crews from Tadcaster responded to an area of smouldering grassland measuring approximately 50m x 30m. Crews used four hose reel jets and wildfire tools to extinguish and dampen down.

A crew from Tadcaster responded to reports of a fire measuring 15m by 5m, which originated within the hedge line, then affected a derelict farm building. Crews used 2 hose reel jets, a thermal imaging camera and wildfire tools used. The fire caused less than 10% damage to the farm building. The cause was accidental.

Crews from Malton, Pickering, Filey and Driffield (Humberside FRS) plus Kirkbymoorsides Argocat responded to a field on fire. The fire measured approx 150m x 100m to a stubble and standing crop field. Farm Machinery was used to cut fire breaks around the fire and crews used hose reel jets, knapsack sprayers and beaters to extinguish the fire and put a wet line in to prevent re-ignition of the fire.
