Grass fire next to the M20 between Hollingbourne and Ashford
Kent Fire and Rescue Service reported grass alight next to the M20 between Junction 8 for Hollingbourne, Maidstone and Junction 9 for Ashford. Two fire engines attended and extinguished the flames. No injuries were reported; the cause is unknown.

Grass fire - Orpington
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a fire near Sandy Lane in Orpington. Around an acre of shrubland was damaged by the fire. Control Officers took the first of seven calls at 1225 and the fire was extinguished by 1346. Crews from Orpington and Sidcup fire stations attended the scene.
